Cognitive Detection, interventions & operation of preschool education structures

The project aims to holistically strengthen early childhood education and care, with a particular focus on supporting the cognitive, social, and emotional development of children during the early years of life. Specifically, the project involves the design, development, and implementation of a specialized psychometric tool for assessing cognitive functioning, tailored to the needs of different age groups of children up to five years old. In parallel, the creation of informational and educational materials is planned, which will form part of a “special kit” for early childhood educators, intended to enhance their pedagogical practice. The project also includes psychoeducational interventions for early childhood educators and psychologists, as well as the formulation of recommendations to improve the quality of operation of infant, toddler, and preschool childcare centers. A central goal is to enhance the early detection of cognitive difficulties, promote inclusive educational practices, and provide targeted support to educators and parents. Additionally, the project seeks to promote children’s mental resilience and socio-emotional development, improve the management of challenging behaviors, and strengthen collaboration between families and early childhood care centers. Finally, it aims to submit evidence-based policy recommendations to ensure high-quality early childhood education and care and to support the timely identification of developmental disorders in early childhood.
