NUMA, a collaboration among the University of West Attica, Sultanbeyli Municipality, Ardem Project and EcoMuse Consulting, focuses on Athens and Istanbul. Leveraging the
knowledge triangle of education, research and business with active city involvement, NUMA aims to drive long-term innovation through tailored education. Key activities include developing courses for municipal employees and university students, organizing stakeholder events and emphasizing women’s participation in urban mobility. Using innovative teaching methods, hands-on applications, and a blend of theoretical and practical formats, courses will span six modules with self-
study components fostering urban sustainability, innovation and gender perspectives. NUMA aims to have at least 75 EIT RIS participants in non-degree education and training, and a minimum of 90 participants in all Academy activities. The project plans to organize 10 stakeholder events and achieve 10,000 annual online impressions.
The NextGen Urban Mobility Academy (NUMA) aims to enhance urban mobility innovation through education and training in cities of Athens and Istanbul, succeed in:
- Develop Tailor-made Course: Create and deliver specialized modules for a minimum of 90 participants (municipality employees and university students) in all Academy activities. This course will cover greening/electrification of urban mobility, supply chains, business models, innovation & clean technologies and gender component using a blend of theoretical and practical formats across six modules with self-study components for both municipality personnel and university students, tailored to their specific needs and focus areas.
- Organize Stakeholder Events: Host 10 online events to disseminate project impacts and engage stakeholders in urban mobility initiatives.
- Promote Women’s Participation: Emphasize women’s involvement to boost their representation in urban mobility sector.
- Achieve Online Reach: Aim for 10,000 annual online impressions through a dedicated training platform and social media outreach.
