The GREEN-LIFT project aims to address challenges within the Textile, Clothing, Footwear, and Leather (TCFL) sector by providing qualitative upskilling and re-skilling training targeted at vulnerable groups and in-transition workers.
With a focus on women, NEETs, and workers in declining positions, the project aims:
- to identify the green skills gaps as well as the socio-economic challenges,
- to design tailored training programs, and
- to establish collaboration models among stakeholders coming from the educational, business, and public sectors.
Through training initiatives, holistic support services, and the establishment of hands-on labs, the project aims to empower TCFL workers but also SME owners and representatives of the industry with sustainable practices and foster social inclusion, community resilience, and individual well-being.
Additionally, an informative campaign will raise awareness among stakeholders about the project’s social and economic impacts.
Objectives
The main objectives of GREEN-LIFT are:
- To identify the green skills needs in the TCFL sector through research and stakeholder engagement.
- To create a Digital Needs Identification Tool and a comprehensive training framework.
- To develop a digital training platform and provide innovative educational content.
- To design and establish onsite and digital GREEN-LIFT Labs for training and experimentation.
