Career Services and Enterpreneurship Office of UNIWA

The Department of Career Services, Mediation & Innovation at the University of West Attica operates according to the HQA standards, in close collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Unit (MODIP) and the University’s IT Directorate. Its main objective is to strengthen the connection between the educational system and the labor market by monitoring graduates’ career paths and recording labor market skill needs. This approach reduces the skills gap, supports professional placement, decreases unemployment, enhances productivity, and aligns academic programs with labor market demands.

The project includes the upgrade of the Integrated Information System (IIS) to manage data on students’ and graduates’ academic and professional trajectories, linking the University registry with the national graduate tracking system of HQA. The “Graduate Career Path Survey” will assess employment outcomes, study-to-job relevance, skill alignment, entrepreneurial culture, and employment opportunities by region and gender.

The Career Services Department provides individual and group career counseling, psychological support, assistance in job placement, and promotion of entrepreneurship. Additionally, it fosters university-business collaborations and disseminates outcomes through online platforms, social media, and meetings with company representatives, aiming to establish long-term partnerships and enhance the integration of students and graduates into the labor market.
