Deep learning algorithms for molecular imaging applications

The primary objective of the project was the development and evaluation of deep learning (DL) algorithms aimed at generating radiographic images from conventional photographic images in medical imaging. The ultimate goal was to replace X-rays when they are used for providing anatomical rather than diagnostic information. This approach is directly applicable to preclinical research applications (e.g., imaging of experimental animals) and has the potential to be extended to clinical imaging.
