The EKFI PLUS project aimed to improve the development of new innovative learning materials for education and training in the fields of Creative and Cultural Industries (CCI) by further developing the existing EKFI platform. It added features that supported the development of learning materials. A very important aim of the project was to facilitate educators and CCI specialists from different countries and schools to collaborate with each other and create new learning materials together.
In this way, the project substantially strengthened international cooperation among educators, utilized knowledge and experience within international teams, and made use of the competences of all in the project of developing learning materials, with significant added value from such cooperation. This is why the title of the EKFI PLUS project was “Innovation through Cooperation.” In practice, educators from different European countries had the opportunity to participate and use the EKFI platform (https://ekfi.eu/) and the results that were developed.
The project included four main research areas:
- Project Management
- The development of an educational model
- The development of the new EKFI digital platform
- The development of two modules of learning material by the two international teams of educators and CCI experts from the five countries participating in the project
In particular, the educational model was developed as the basis for creating digital tools and applications that updated the existing EKFI online platform (https://ekfi.eu/).
Educational material was developed through the cooperation of the authors/educators using the platform. The platform supported the search for partners with expertise in the same field of knowledge, allowed collaboration to define the content, and provided tools to facilitate the development and writing process for the members of the created teams.
