Goals
- Evaluation of the Hellenic Gravity Network
- Investigate the modernization of the Hellenic Gravity Network
- Investigate the use of a geoid model as a reference surface for the vertical datum of Greece
Objectives
- Conduct absolute gravity measurements at stations of the Hellenic gravity network
- Conduct relative gravity measurements for the densification and evaluation of the gravity network in selected areas
- Evaluate the existing gravity and vertical networks
- Compute a high accuracy geoid for the Hellenic area
- Investigate the use of the geoid as the new reference surface for the national vertical reference frame
Results
- Gravimetric geoid model for the Hellenic area
- Study on the Hellenic gravity network and vertical datum
