Weaving Vocational Training Program
This program aims at reviving traditional weaving techniques, and at the same time constitutes an effort of creative development and integration of new materials and technologies in the field of weaving in order to create centers of innovation and competitive production units capable of meeting the demands of the modern era.
The main objective of the project is the preservation and dissemination of traditional weaving and its values in society, as well as the preservation of historical weaving techniques and their designs, so they serve as knowledge of our cultural heritage and as a channel of innovation for cotemporary creative and cultural industries. This will facilitate the creation of a knowledge-based society with a clear cultural basis and will become a source of innovation, competitiveness and promotion of new resources that will also contribute to the development of the textile industry and the strengthening of the local economy. Moreover, the purpose of this training program is to prepare the trainees with the necessary productive skills and of high-level weaving knowledge, which will help them of taking advantage of direct employment opportunities in the weaving sector and/or to start their own business as self-employed or as entrepreneurs.

The program provides 120 ECVET and belongs to category 4 or 5 of the National Qualifications Framework. Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a Certificate of Specialized Training from KEDIVIM of the University of West Attica with the possibility of certification by the Hellenic Accreditation System (ESYD) which provides the professional right to teach the art of weaving.
Ceramics Vocational Training Program
The main purpose of the programme is to help the trainees to incorporate in their production process and in their artistic creation traditional characteristics and distinctive elements of Greek traditional pottery culture and modern techniques of production and shaping of the final product using materials with improved properties, aiming to revive tradition and to shape a modern Greek creation by integrating traditional and new, modern and original elements. The integration of new materials and technologies in ceramic art will lead to the creation of centers of innovation and competitive production units capable of meeting the demands of modern society.
At the same time, training in the fields of marketing, costing and entrepreneurship will provide the trainees with the necessary skills to organise their business or workshop, to ensure its good and sustainable operation and to secure the integration of production with the Greek and foreign markets.
